So, I've got a wedding coming up in April, at ~14 lbs to lose in between now and then. Totally do-able! It just involves a lot of re-thinking on my day to day. I've started using FitBit, which has been immensely helpful in terms of measuring my own accountability and keeping track of my fitness goals. I can keep track of how active I am, and even how many calories I consumed that day.
So, to kick things off, yesterday's stats are in the FitBit screen shot to the left. Here's a overview of yesterday's performance:
Fitness: Alriiiight! Totally made it under budget today! I'm on the upswing after a nasty cold, so I'm trying to get back on the fitness track. Jobim and I have started running in the evenings, and today I went for a very solid 30 minute run. I've trying to improve myself as a runner, and I'm noticing that I can now go much further. I no longer stop at the first red light I come to, and I feel like I'm getting better in touch with my personal stride. I'm even starting to like running without headphones!k of this series, I'll be including a screen shot from my FitBit plus a tabulation of my recent fitness pursuits. Yay accountability!
Food: In terms of food, I splurged on a few big-budget items (waffle for breakfast, slice of deep dish pizza at lunch) but then finished with a healthy bowl of wild rice gumbo, collard greens, and lean chicken breast. I did have one beer at the end of my work shift, but I'm trying to significantly cut down on that. It makes me moody.
Stay tuned for tomorrow's progress!
